First Responder

The INTO Dogs Canine First Responder Courses.

For dog owners and professionals working in the field.

All INTO Dogs members take their professional development seriously by continuing their own education with
courses and seminars that reflect our code of ethics. We have taken that ethic one step further and Introduced a
canine first aid and CPR course which can be taken by dog loving owners who want to do the best for their pets
should that emergency arise. It is also available to people working within the canine field such as trainers, dog
handlers, behaviour analysts, kennel managers and assistants. We also want clients who book us for
consultations to know we are serious about what we do and hope this goes some way to reflecting that in our
commitment to training.

The
Canine First Responder Course is open to anyone over the age of sixteen although we will take course
participants under the age of sixteen so long as they can demonstrate working with dogs in a responsible manner
such as kennel assistants, farm workers and breeders or youngsters that want to do the course with their parents.

The course follows the same protocols vets would use if they where first on the scene of you canine emergency so
you will be safe in the knowledge that you have done exactly what the vet would have done if he were on the scene
first. We use the latest in audio visual technology to enhance the learning experience with trainers that have over
ten years of experience delivering your course for you. You will get hands on practice with the latest canine CPR
manikin and have fun at the same time as we learn in a fun, relaxed, friendly environment conducive to learning.

So what will you learn? Listed below are just a few of the things covered in the course materials:

•        Effective use of barriers such as gloves and face shields
